He graduated from a gastronomic technical school, followed by a hotel school. He also shared his professional experience and knowledge with the viewers of programs broadcast on TVP1, TVP2, TV4 and readers of "Men`s Health" magazine (he edited the section "Culinary Tips"). His work is his passion. He is renowned for his involvement in social initiatives and activities. He was a member of the Board of the National Association of Chefs and Confectioners and the chairman of its Lower Silesian branch.
He is a sailor by passion – the sea is his second (next to the kitchen) favourite domain. He is also passionate about music. He graduated from a music school, specialising in clarinet.
He now dedicates his commitment and precision to the no less responsible profession of the Chef.
The dishes he designed for our culinary offer are characterized above all by lightness and modern approach to tradition. The Chef Piotr Gietner composed the menu in such a manner that that it delights the most fastidious palates, and the hallmark of the served dishes is their fusion style, surprising combinations of flavours and sophisticated ingredients. You can enjoy duck, guinea hen, goose stomachs or beef sirloin. The most impressive part, however, are the side dishes, often prepared from native products. Let us mention only apples and parsley puree, buttermilk powder, roasted butter, bread dumpling and cherry salsa. Piotr also thought about people who do not eat meat. He offers them a variety of fish dishes, as well as vegetarian and vegan meals. You can choose from mussels, oysters, cod and even catfish (served with spinach, confit potatoes, boletus and pickled parsley).
Every gourmet will appreciate the artistry of dishes at Wratislavia Floating Restaurant and the amazing aesthetics of their serving. After the Guests finish their meal, it is in fact not uncommon for them to personally thank Piotr for the supper and congratulate him on his talent.
We would love to have you as a guest – enjoy the delicious food, wonderful atmosphere and beautiful views overboard!
